What makes you excited about summer? The first sign of summer is when the heat soars to 90 or above. As a heat-adverse individual, this invariably sends me into panic mode, as I worry about melting into my surroundings. Fortunately, I have a wonderful colleague and friend who comes each year to help me install my air conditioning window units, so no unlucky passerby gets unduly bonked on the head by a rogue falling air conditioner. I’ve found that doing the installation with a friend helps keep everyone cooler – when I do the same with my spouse, there are invariably harsh words, short tempers, and a prolonged cooling-off period. When I work with my friend, there’s bourbon and laughs. What better way to start the summer? What are you looking forward to? Staying cool!
